Fire Hydrant Contest Winners

This semester, every student enrolled in an art class at Upson-Lee High School created a design for the fire hydrant design contest hosted by the City of Thomaston. Out of the designs submitted, six students and Ms. Garrard's designs were chosen. Winning designs painted on fire hydrants in downtown Thomaston as part of Georgia Cities Week, celebrated Oct. 3-9.

The content winners and their design titles are:

Gabby York (not pictured) "Flint River, Ga." design will be painted on the fire hydrant at Tidal Wave.

Kaitlin Davis' "Exotic Flower Art" design will be painted on the fire hydrant at ASOD.

Madson Clarke's "Flower Power" design will be painted on the fire hydrant at the belltower.

Gracie Self's "FIRE Hydrant" design will be painted on the fire hydrant near First Baptist Church.

Madalyn Clarke's "Little Fire Fighter" design will be painted on the fire hydrant at Speedi Lube.

Highland Robert's "Farm Life" design will be painted on the fire hydrant at Evergreen Propane.

Ms. Garrard's "Upson-Lee Knights" design will be painted on the fire hydrant at the courthouse annex.
