The following pleas were accepted March 2 in Superior Court by Judge Ben J. Miller, Jr. of the Griffin Judicial Circuit:
Tammy McKinley – sexual battery, 12 months probation, 40 hours of community service, and $500 fine; disorderly conduct, 12 months probation concurrent to previous count and $500 fine.
Damian McMullin – possession of cocaine (first offender), three years probation, 80 hours of community service, and $1,000 fine; obstruction of an officer (first offender), 12 months probation concurrent to previous count and $250 fine; theft by shoplifting (first offender), 12 months probation concurrent to previous counts, serve 10 days in county jail, and $250 fine.

I appreciate that Upson SO & Thomaston PD do what they can to stop illegal drug use/sales off the streets. That being said rounding up the folks who sit on porches all times of the day & night on MLK selling and buying all manner of drugs would sure make my heart leap for joy.
