Judge Scott L. Ballard accepted the following pleas Oct. 6 in Superior Court:

Kristopher Whigham, obstruction of an officer, 12 months probation, 80 hours community service, and a $500 fine; obstruction of an officer, 12 months probation consecutive to previous count and $500 fine; driving while license suspended, 12 months probation consecutive to previous counts and a $500 fine;

Quintavious Quiller, criminal trespass, 60 days to serve and consent with VOP.

Judge W. Fletcher Sams accepted the following pleas Oct. 7 in Superior Court:

Tyshemia Jones, giving false name, address, birth date to officer, 180 days to serve to run concurrent to VOP; obstruction of an officer, 180 days to serve to run concurrent to VOP and previous count;

Corey Thomas, malice murder reduced to voluntary manslaughter, 20 years (serve the first 15 in state prison, followed by the remainder on probation), $3,000 fine, and banishment from the Griffin Judicial Circuit; aggravated assault, five years probation consecutive to previous count; possession of firearm or knife during commission or attempted commission of a crime, five years probation consecutive to previous counts;

Randy Morgan, simple battery, 12 months probation, 40 hours of community service, and a $500 fine.
