In its September term, the Upson County Grand Jury returned the following true bill Nov. 16:

Chauncey Renard Powell – malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The following plea was accepted Nov. 17 in Superior Court by Judge W. Fletcher Sams:

Tayron Kendall – obstruction of an officer, five years probation; possession of methamphetamine, three years probation and 80 hours of community service.

The following pleas were accepted Nov. 18 in Superior Court by Judge Scott L. Ballard:

Misty Jolley – battery (Family Violence Act), 12 months probation and $500 fine;

Myra Sharmein Davis – criminal trespass, 12 months probation and $500 fine; giving false name, address, birthdate to law enforcement, 12 months probation and $500 fine;

Pamela W. Anderson – possession of meth, five years to serve in prison;

Benjamin Alan Anderson – theft of lost or mislaid property, 12 months probation and $250 fine;

Katherine Elizabeth Bass – possession of meth, three years probation, 80 hours community service, and $1,500 fine; possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, three years probation concurrent to previous count and $1,500 fine;

Chadwick R. Campbell, burglary in the first degree, 10 years (serve three in prison, followed by seven years on probation) and 80 hours of community service; entering automobile, five years (serve three in prison, followed by two years on probation) concurrent with previous count; additional count of entering auto, five years (serve three in prison, followed by two years probation) concurrent with previous counts;

Alexandra Carlos Ross – possession of meth, three years probation and $1,500 fine; driving without license, 12 months probation concurrent to previous count;

Rayford J. Harrington – possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (reduced to possession of marijuana less than an ounce), 12 months probation, 40 hours of community service, and $1,000 fine;

Demarcus V. McDowell – possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, 10 years (serve one in prison, followed by nine years probation) and $2,500 fine.
