It is a busy time in downtown Thomaston, according to Economic Development Coordinator Taylor Smith, who reports having dozens of meetings with potential community investors during the past few months.

In his April Main Street minutes, Smith shares that potential investors include individuals looking to purchase and renovate downtown property or open new businesses. New businesses set to open in coming months include Natalia Bell Atlanta Community Real Estate; ReLeaf, Your Modern Help Co.; and a new boba tea lounge/axe throwing bar.

HGTV’s newest series, Hometown: Kickstarter, will feature Thomaston on May 22. Upper Krust, a project set to be featured on the show, is scheduled to open in the early summer, according to owners Deann Avery and Lane Coggins.
