Mrs. Mary Jean McFarlin Lockhart

Mrs. Mary Jean McFarlin Lockhart, age 69, who resided at Park Place in Thomaston, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2023.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 18 at Mary Lizzie Baptist Church, 430 Triune Avenue, in Thomaston. Rev. McArthur Childs is pastor and Rev. Olin McGraw was the eulogist.

Mary Jean McFarlin Lockhart was a native of Thomaston, Upson County. She received her education at Witford High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jean loved to cook and take care of others. She always talked to her family on a daily basis. She never met a stranger. She will be remembered for her affectionate laughter and her daily talk.

Mrs. Lockhart leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Ray Lockhart; two children, Ramonica Lockhart and Terrence Lockhart; six grandchildren, Shayla King, Tyres Webb, Amani Ross, Shaterica Lockhart, Tynazia Lockhart, and Tykyla Lockhart; two great-grandchildren, Shatavia King and Dakiyan Ausbrooks, all of Thomaston; seven siblings, Connie Dawson, Joe Cecil McFarlin, Johnny McFarlin, Dorothy Smith, Ben McFarlin, Jr., Geraldine Pickard, all of Thomaston, Amy Grant of Hampton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.
