Mr. Lyne Perry Carter, age 72, of Raines Street, passed Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 17, at Southview Cemetery. Pastor Jimmy Lyons officiated, assisted by Rev. Louis Prenell and Rev. Morris Myrick.

Mr. Carter received his education from the Upson County School System. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served from July 1, 1968 through March 26, l970. He received an honorable discharge. He was a member of the World-Wide End Time Harvest Church, pastored by Rev. Louis Prenell. He was employed as a semi-truck driver.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Ann Walker Carter of Thomaston; seven children, Ms. Cristy Carter of Thomaston, Ms. Kecia Anderson of Delaware, Mr. Lynn Carter II, Ms. Deidra Hickman, Ms. La Trece Hickman, Mr. Rickey (Jamelia) King, and Mr. Lance Carter, all of Thomaston; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy ((Charles) Braggs of Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Maryette (James) Johnson of Thomaston; one brother, Mr. Kenneth (Jo Evelyn) Carter of Thomaston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. James Blackmon of Irvington, N.J., Mr. Benjamin (Ruby) Walker, Ms. Charlene Page, Mrs. Vernette (Rev. Morris) Myrick, Ms. Emma Beckham, and Ms. Mary Daniel, all of Thomaston, Mrs. Marjorie (Henry) Rhines of Macon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Trice Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
